This is not a great picture, but it will give you an idea for a gift for hunters. This is one of the first paint cans I made so the design leaves something to be desired...tell that to all the people who wanted one though. I even sold one to the hardware store where I bought my empty cans. Inside I added a bottle of water, a package of trail mix, salted peanuts, a camo bandanna, a small bottle of repel, and I know there was more in it but I just can't remember all the items. This will give you a general idea of the contents and you may come up with some great ones on your own. The front of the can has buck fever and the lid says Hunters Survival Kit. If you need Gifts for Him, you can come up with some cool ideas for this gift can.

Snowman Paint Can
Here is an idea for a Snowman paint can for Christmas. I saw this idea on PC Crafter several years ago and did my own variation of it...There is a snowman set that can be purchased on this site... There are some very talented ladies in this crafting communityYou can make a snowman face in psp or the graphics program of your choice. I used a snowflake background and put a poem on the back. I bought a pair of earmuffs and removed everything but the part you see and wired them to the paint can. Another idea would be to put the face on the lid. This paint can was really a hit with family and friends. You can fill it with gifts. What I did was filled it with carrot cake mix(the bagged cake mixes), canned frosting, and Christmas towel set (snowman of course). Let your imagination be your guide.

Paint Can for Mom To Be
Carefully cut out the template for the gallon can. Use a 1 inch paper punch to cut out the holes for the paint handles. Line it up to fit the holes and punch. You will have the perfect half circle.
Use glue or double sided tape on the sides that have the handle holes. Position on the can before the glue dries..The double sided tape works best. It can be repositioned several times if you use much care.
On the lid, use glue. Put it completely on the sides and make a big X in the middle. The sides will lay flat and there will be glue in the middle for extra hold.
Pack it full of things a new mom will love. Here is a cute design called Pool of drool
that any new mom would love. It has the infant body suits ,bibs, infant shirts and much more .

Dog Treat Can
One of my friends has a dog that is like part of her family.
For Christmas one year I made Maddie a personalized treat can.
It is made from a quart paint can and will hold milk bones and
other treats that pets love. In this can I put doggie potato chips
that Maddie loved. A unique treat always adds that something special
to a gift. How about a doggie tee rolled up and placed in the can...

Newborn Paint Can
This is a paint can done for a newborn girl..I took this picture so you can see the products inside. There are alot of items that can be added to a baby paint can. Some I have in this one are baby shoes, a pacificer, small bottles of baby oil, baby lotion and powder. The outside of the can is done in pink gingham and has the graphic of a pacifier. There are so many items that can be put into cans for baby shower gifts. Onsies, bibs, infant t-shirts are just a few of the gift items that can be folded and placed in the can. Laminating your can wrapper before putting it on your can really gives it a professional look. Just laminate on one side by putting the the back and front label together(print side out) and running through a laminator. You can then seperate them and glue onto the can.

Soldier's Survival Paint Can
A friend ordered this can for her sister serving in Iraq. Madeline designed this soldiers survival paint can and I made gifts that went inside. I made a bag topper that read family issued snacks and put it on a pre wrapped bag of candy. Then I made a label for the m&m's with a soldier's prayer. Alot of other items that I knew the soldier liked were also included. The paint can handle had camo colored beads and the paint can lid had the soldier's name.

Easter Bunny Paint Can
Want a unique Easter Basket for your little one this year? Why not make one from a paint can. You can find templates for them on several websites. One of my favorites is http://www.jersgirl.com/. She has templates for alot of craft projects. Once you have your template, you can put an Easter graphic on it. Grass and a blue sky, ducks, bunnies, or you can put a face on it like I did. This one is simple to make in psp or other graphics software. I use double sided tape on each end and place it on the paint can (bought from Ace Hardware).Be sure to get the template for the circle top and put Easter graphics on it also. I bought a pair of bunny ears from a dollar store. Put them to the back of the can and push the ears up. These are a perfect fit on the cans. Fill with grass and fill with Easter goodies for your little one. This one always gets a WOW...

Paint Can Gift

Paint Cans? Yes, you can make a one of a kind gift from a paint can. Of course you will want to buy a clean paint can from a hardware store, then Google to find a website that has paint can templates. Some have designs that you can just print out. If you have a creative touch, you can design your own. Be sure to check our free printable for paint cans.
After you print your template, cut it out and use a glue stick or double sided tape on the side and place on your can. Design a top for the can by using a circle template. You can add many items to the can and then wrap in clear wrap. At Christmas, I fill the my cans with a sugar cookie mix, a couple of cute cookie cutters, cookie sprinkles and a Christmas kitchen towel and hot pad. This makes a great gift to give a family.
